More Departure and Farewell Lyrics
Hem has kept up a swift pace of new song lyric posting at Facebook. Since the last news update, new lyric snippets have been added for "Departure and Farewell," "Gently Down the Stream," "The Jackpine," "Last Call," "No Word From Tom," "The Seed," "So Long," "The Tides at the Narrows," "Walking Past the Graveyard, Not Breathing," and "A Wolf in the Woods." Go read them if you haven't already! Departure and Farewell Lyrics
If you haven't visited Hem's Facebook recently, visit now. Over the past day, Hem has posted lyric snippets from some songs currently being mixed for the new album, Departure and Farewell. As of this post, you can read lyrics from "Identical Snowflakes," "Tourniquet," and "So Long." Hem's message board has been offline for a little while and will stay offline for a while longer. It should be back around the time Hem's new album arrives.

Twisted South Radio
Listen to Dan talk about Paint It Black, an Alt-Country tribute album to The Rolling Stones, in a 2 hour audio interview about the album at Twisted South Radio. The album's producer and many of the album's artists talk about the album and the songs they recorded for it. Hem's part starts at about 1 hour, 34 minutes. As a bonus, Dan talks about the new album Departure and Farewell, targeting the album to be done in August and released in January. He also says that the band hopes to play some shows around the album's release, so now it's not just me telling you that! (See April's Seven Days Of Hem.) Go listen to the interview!

Paint It Black
Hem's cover of the Rolling Stones song "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is available now! Paint It Black, an Alt-Country tribute album to The Rolling Stones, is released today, May 17. You can get it anywhere you normally buy digital albums, like at Amazon and iTunes. Don't forget that you can stream an early version of this song at Hem's Facebook page and that you can always get what you want with much more song information in the April 23, 2011, news update below and on this album's discography page.
