| As the Rabbit Songs vinyl release date approaches, it's a good time to revisit Hem on NPR's All Things Considered on July 10, 2002 (audio, transcript). Within 24 hours of that airing, Hem's album was #1 at Amazon. | The remastered re-release of Rabbit Songs, now scheduled for November 28 in celebration of the album's 25th anniversary, has long been in the works. Hem has often said they're the slowest band around with new music. One example this year is Hem's comment on Facebook here. Another example is this May 27, 2005 post from Hem on the band's now-defunct message board where Rabbit Songs on vinyl was a project in process. Twenty years later, here we are! |

| Rabbit Songs is remastered and ready for its very first vinyl release on November 28, 2025 in celebration of the album's 25th anniversary. It is now available for pre-order on vinyl and digital album. UK and EP ordering info is coming soon. (If you order from Bandcamp on any Friday from now until the album is released, Bandcamp waives its fees and all proceeds go to the artist). In addition to all your favorite Rabbit Songs tracks, the album includes bonus track "St. Charlene," which as Hem describes it, is "a tune from the Rabbit Songs era that previously was found only on a hard-to-find EP." That EP is Birds, Beasts, and Flowers (2004). | I've received questions about whether Hem has any tour dates planned, but no, none are planned right now. I will let you know if/when any dates are confirmed! |
