Discography Update |
|
The Paste Magazine March 2007 Sampler includes a song by Hem. It's a live version of "The Pills Stopped Working," recorded in New York on October 26, 2006 at Paste's issue #26 party. The sampler CD comes free with issue #29 of the magazine, which also has this little picture of Steve (at the show?). Click here to see the CD. You can also find details about the compilation on the discography page. |
Official Site Update |
Hem's official site has a new look, ridding itself of its former clear blue sky color (still on the Forum page) and replacing it with a dark grey tornado-ready color and flashing lightning. Beyond colors, the site's content is unchanged, but maybe you'd still like to check out the new crows flying away from your field. |
Happy Valentine's Day! |
What better way to spread the love than with some music? Celebrate the day by downloading (for free!) Hem performing the Bruce Springsteen song "Valentine's Day" here at Amazon.com. FYI, it's the same version as on Hem's I'm Talking With My Mouth EP. (Amazon says "Valentine's Day" is on the album Rabbit Songs, but they're wrong, wrong, wrong.) |
Love Is A Mixtape |
|
Right in time for Valentine's Day is the second volume of Sweet Nothings, a totally free compilation from Nettwerk that includes "He Came To Meet Me" by Hem. Download it now! There's a contest running in connection with the album (accessible through the download link), so if you like Lush, rush on over and enter. You can also still get last year's Sweet Nothings, including Hem's "The Present," for the same low cost of zero dollars. Information about both compilations can be found on the discography page. |
Paste Interview & Songs |
|
This week's episode of Paste Magazine's Paste Culture Club features Hem. Visit that website to download an mp3 podcast including two live songs and an interview from Hem's 10/26/06 show in New York at Paste's issue #26 party at the Knitting Factory. You can find a permanent link to this podcast at the interview archive and through the 2006 tour archive. |
