Hear "Tourniquet" Live
Surely you have already downloaded Hem's new song "Tourniquet" for free (free!) at Hem's website (see the previous news update for more information). Now you can hear Hem playing "Tourniquet" live at their December 2, 2012 New York show. The sound quality is not perfect, but I couldn't do much better than this. Any live Hem is better than no live Hem!

Free Download of "Tourniquet"
Hem has a new song available today for free download! Go get "Tourniquet" right now at Hem's website! See, I told you it was one of the new songs that would be available soon. You can find the complete lyric to this Brooklyn-heavy song here at Hem's Facebook page. And it's yesterday's news that you can find a bit more about this song on the meanings page. Hem's website also a new look, though right now it's still just one page. It will be expanded in the near future. But what are you doing looking at their website? Download the song, read the lyric, and peruse the meanings! There's also a new discography page for this song if you need to wrap yourself more tightly in "Tourniquet."

New York Show
I have not been able to say this for a long time: tickets for a Hem show are on sale! Hem is playing a short set at Le Poisson Rouge in New York, NY on December 2, 2012. It is a book release party for Real Man Adventures by T Cooper with four performers, including Hem. Buy tickets here. I think you can count this as a warm-up for more to come. More details about this show are on the tour page.
Discography Update
Hem's song "The Beautiful Sea" from Eveningland is on a companion CD to the book Real Man Adventures. Information about the album is at T Cooper's site, or you can visit the CD's discography page here. The CD is a limited edition and is available through the author's book club and at the author's events, like the book release party.

New Hem Still On The Way
There may not have been a news update here since last month, but new Hem music and goodies are still on the way! A free song, a new website, and a video should all be coming within weeks, followed by Departure And Farewell and some live shows. I don't know what the free song will be, but it will probably be one on the new album page, maybe "Identical Snowflakes" or "Tourniquet." This news update comes thanks to Little Silver. If you're not on their mailing list, why not? Sign up!
