Stocking by the Fire CD
The new holiday compilation CD Stockings by the Fire includes Hem performing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." The CD is only available at Starbucks as part of their Hear Music series, so you should be able to find it on almost every street corner. Go get yourself a copy! You can see a bigger version of the cover image by clicking on the preview to the left or by visiting the discography page. The discography page also lists all the other albums that include this song, which was first released in 2005.
Peace At Last
It seems timely to mention that Hem has another holiday tune. It's a Hem original from last year called "Peace At Last" and is only available as a free download. You cannot argue with free, so move fast and get it!

November 3 New York Show
Click on the small preview to the left to see pictures from Hem's November 3 show in New York. Most are of Hem, though there are a couple of setlists and one of opener April Smith (who was much more cheery than my gloomy picture would lead you to believe). Heaps of thanks to Hem for putting on a great show before they head off to the studio! Equal thanks to the band for their continued support of this site and me. You can find permanent links to these pictures (plus setlist details) at the concert photos archive and the 2007 tour archive.

November 3 New York Show
The setlist from Hem's lovely show yesterday at the Highline Ballroom is now at the 2007 tour archive. Among a number of songs they hadn't play live in a while, there are a couple from the Home Again, Home Again EP ("The Part Where You Let Go" and "While My Hand Was Letting Go") that made their concert premiere at this show. I should have some photos available here tomorrow, and if you have any pictures or videos to share, let me know.
Meanings Page Update
A small tidbit about the song "Betting On Trains" from the Nov. 3 show is new at the Rabbit Songs meanings page. It's more of a lack of a meaning, but that works.
